The History Makers started out as an essay for a high school history class.
Val’s history teacher Susan Groppi assigned a project on Aztec or Mayan civilizations, but Val’s imagination took her beyond the class requirements.
She imagined a world in which the Aztec empire flourished for centuries. How would their religion evolve to meet the needs of a larger society? How would their forms of government adapt, and how would people respond?
