You never see serial killers in the news anymore. It’s not how it was in the 80’s, the killer news coverage replaced by abundant murder-based T.V. shows. Nobody can name a prolific serial killer now, but anyone can list their favorite serial killer shows at request. Meanwhile there are still active serial killers, who kill only to see their ideas stolen to fill Law and Order plots. Making A Killing is a one-act buddy comedy that asks, “How do the serial killers feel about that?”
Beyond its deft humor, “Making A Killing” also delved into deeper questions of success and failure…I spent much of those 45 minutes laughing and still came away with things to think about. I’d call that a success. The Chicago Maroon
